DRACULA: THE UNDEAD — novel release updates and ask the authors

We are awaiting final editor’s notes on the manuscript from Dutton U.S./Penguin Canada/Harper U.K. which should be coming any day now. The due date is February 15th and then we go to galley print! This maybe old hat to you novelists out there, but for Dacre and I it’s pretty exciting since The Un-Dead is both of our’s first novel.

Famed comic book artist GRAIG F. WEICH (Spider-Man, Spawn) of www.BeyondComics.tv and the biggest selling independant comic book of all time Civillian Justice (yes, we’re working on the movie script now) has completed a superbly excellent piece of art for The Un-Dead. It’s top secret so all I can say it is key to a major plot point and appears in the epilogue. Graig knocked it out of the park! Thanks, Graig. Look for more cross-overs coming soon with Graig’s ultra-cool comic book chic/geek website.

Dacre and I are also putting our merchandise and licensing company together so look for cool Dracula/Bram Stoker/Undead gear in the Dracula’s Treasure section of this website coming soon.

We may get Graig’s excellent art out for a special edition tee-shirt for Comic-con if Dacre and I attend with Graig. I believe that’s in June, so it’ll be closer to the book release date. Of course, all that is subject to approval from our publisher, Dutton.

YO-YO-YO Tim, its Matt. I got your text & am mad into this. Weich is the shit cause he draws everything, have you seen his Ravedactyl anime work, when is his Drac stuff coming out??????? Is he drawing Dracula or what? I have to colelct it though. I bet it’ll be worth a lot. I saw his citizen Justice book selling on ebay for like $40 unsigned, I have the mirror shiney version, no price on it so I bet its worth a lot too.
    hit me back.

Hello Fellas, I got the text too, I have no idea what you guys are talking about. I feel out of the loop, let me know whats going on please.

—I’m looking at Weich’s site now, its decent, i guess I’m not really into this stuff normally, but I can see why you enjoy it and it is kinda’ hooking me I must admit.

I think its Civilian Justice by the way Matt. There is a video on the site that shows it, like a cartoon or something I guess, but it says he becomes code name justice so i guess there is another comic coming out or something.

I’m more into Dracula now that I know they are putting a new spin on it, i think it innovative, i did not even know they were doing another Dracula book until I got your text about the comic guy doing a picture in it, its like a different world i guess. I’ll give it a chance.

Hey Tim, Matt and John welcome to our Dracula: The Un-Dead blog. Any friends and fans of Graig is a friend of ours. You guys should also know that Graig has created a new character QUILT that Graig and I are developing for a new horror film with Ron Gwiazda amd Amy Wagner of Abrams’ Artists. And yes, Graig’s next editions of Civilian Justice will be out soon. I’ve gotten an advance peek and IT ROCKS! Also be on the lookout for some very special and famous super hero friends who will be making cameos in the new CJ.

  9. cyndia parel Says:

please tell me what the art looks like. please please please please.

  10. ian Says:

Welcome Teddy and Cyndia! Thanks for your support. All I can say about the art work from Graig is that it provides the subjective proof that vampires are real! I’m sorry for being evasive, but good things to those who are patient. :-)
